- I think we need to become better at attracting so that we don't fight internally in the town but that more people come to us overall, says HR director Helena Wäreby.
But despite the need for new hires in the defense industry, unemployment is just over six percent in Karlskoga, as high as the national average in the country.
Helena Wäreby tells us that the company does not use the Employment Service to a great extent when they want to hire new staff.
- Our company has a large muscle of its own with an internal career center that recruits.
Then it's a lot about working with the long-term supply of skills, with the municipality investing in training and that our young people choose the right education and get those opportunities.
Opens development office
This spring, Saab Dynamics opens a development office in Karlstad.
- There, development engineers who work with software, electronic mechanics and security will work closely with our development projects, says Helena Wäreby, and explains that there will be 40 people working there, which in the long run could become 200.
