Biden extended for a year the sanctions against Russia adopted in connection with the situation in Ukraine

According to Biden, the actions and policies referred to in these executive orders continue to pose a threat to US national security interests and foreign policy.

“I am extending for one year the [sanctions] state of emergency declared by decree 13,660,” the president said in a statement.
