- It is a dropping that was collected on February 12 and the analysis was completed last Friday.

It showed the territory-marking male, says Linda Andersson.

The two wolves, a female and a male, were seen in front of the County Administrative Board's inventory cameras last September.

After that, it has not been possible to determine whether there was an adult or a puppy in the area.

No trace since last fall

Richard Larsson at the County Administrative Board in Jönköping County said last week that there were no traces or observations of them, but now DNA from the male has been found in the Bergaskogen area.

But whether the male has been in the territory the whole time or whether he has been on a hike is unclear.

- We don't know where the male has been, if it has been outside the area or if we just couldn't find anything despite continued presence in the area.

We have so far not seen any other findings of dna from this individual, or from the other parent of the puppies, elsewhere in Sweden.

However, the DNA from the female has still not been found, and according to Linda Andersson, the inventory of the wolf pack is now continuing until the end of March.
