On February 23, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Kiev regime had stepped up preparations for an invasion of Transnistria.

The department noted that the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Transnistria will be carried out in response to the alleged offensive of Russian troops from this territory.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that any actions in Transnistria that pose a security threat to Russians would be regarded as an attack on Russia.
