Three-time presidential candidate Marine Le Pen canceled her planned visit to the Paris Agricultural Show on Wednesday after injuring her leg, the party said on Monday.

Marine Le Pen canceled her visit scheduled for Wednesday at the Paris Agricultural Show after injuring her leg, the National Rally said in a statement on Monday.

The unsuccessful triple candidate for the presidential election was injured at the end of last week at her home, said her entourage.

"She wears a knee brace, incompatible with wandering the aisles of the Agricultural Show and the traditional walkabouts," added the same source.

Marine Le Pen will address the sector soon

"In the difficult period that French farmers are experiencing, accentuated by inflation and the transmission crisis, Marine Le Pen wishes to assure them of her full support", continued the RN in its press release, stressing that the deputy of Pas- de-Calais "will address the main players in the sector in the coming weeks".

Previously, in a letter to the French broadcast via Twitter, the president of the National Rally group in the Assembly mentioned the war in Ukraine.

She considered that "to work for peace is not an act of allegiance except for the interest of the world and the consideration of men".

While the far-right party has evolved its discourse in recent days, moving from a benevolent position towards Russia to an admission of "collective naivety" in the face of the "expansionist ambitions" of Vladimir Putin, its leader always pleads for "an independent position" of France in this conflict.
