A year has passed since Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Recently, Russian forces have escalated their shelling of Ukraine and several experts are warning of a major Russian offensive.

Western allies have promised to send tanks to help Ukraine in its war against Russia, but deliveries may be delayed as the Ukrainian military runs out of ammunition.

- The coming weeks and month will be decisive, says Ukraine's ambassador to Sweden, Andrij Plachotnjuk in SVT's "30 Minuten".

"We will not let that happen"

He addresses the large number of Russian soldiers mobilized and how Russia is trying to achieve tactical victories along the front line.

- They will push harder, they will try to succeed, but we will not let that happen, he says.

Andriy Plachotnyuk emphasizes the importance of speeding up the promised deliveries of weapons from the West and that the military support to Ukraine must be sustained and lasting.

Don't want to say when the war will end

- In order for us to be well prepared for counter-offensives and to be able to liberate our country, we need as much help to defend ourselves as possible.

Let it be ammunition, sophisticated weapons or anything else, says Ukraine's ambassador, Andrij Plachotnyuk, in SVT's "30 minutes".

Andrij Plachotnjuk believes that everything should be done to bring the war to an end this year - but at the same time he does not dare to give an answer as to when the end of the war will really come.

- I cannot say a specific date or a specific year, he says.
