In order for a question to be tabled, a third of the votes in the present assembly in the municipal council is normally required.
The Moderates, the Sweden Democrats and the Customs Party with their 30 out of 75 seats in the council made an attempt during the council, but Sweden's municipalities and regions (SKR) judged that it was a personnel matter and that therefore a simple majority is required instead of a third.
The attempt to postpone the matter thus failed.
