Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the approval of new rules for verifying accounts in exchange for a monthly paid subscription, in a first step in the history of the platform.

Meta Verified allows you to verify your account using a government-issued ID to earn a blue badge, additional protection from being impersonated with another account, and direct access to customer service.

Zuckerberg confirmed, in a post on his Facebook account, that the new feature aims to increase credibility and security across the company's Facebook and Instagram platforms.

And he stated in his publication that the service will be for $ 11.99 for the web version, and 14.99 for the “iOS” system, and the service will be launched from Australia and New Zealand during the current week, and from there to the rest of the countries soon.

Zuckerberg's announcement of paid documentation services comes a few months after Elon Musk announced the matter on the Twitter platform for $ 8 per month, which witnessed a lot of criticism at the time.

Observers commented that Zuckerberg's decision was a repetition of Elon Musk's idea, which was innovative for some companies in ways to provide funds to face the current economic crises.

Twitter's decision came at the time after the new owner of the platform, the American billionaire Elon Musk, described the Twitter system at the time as (masters / villagers), which distinguishes the owners of the blue tick from others, as "nonsense".
