After Dai Huiyu, a young Taiwanese compatriot, returned to Guangzhou from Yanbian, Jilin, she continued to post photos of her travels on WeChat Moments.
Not long ago, Dai Huiyu and other 18 young Taiwan compatriots participated in the Jilin Branch of the 29th National Taiwan Federation Youth Winter Camp for Taiwan Compatriots, which lasted for a week in 2023. They experienced ice and snow sports, visited technology companies, investigated rural revitalization and Chagan Lake Ecological construction, leaving unforgettable memories.
After closing the camp, Dai Huiyu did not return immediately, but boarded the train to Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.
She said: "There are many places in Jilin that fascinate me. A friend happened to be in Yanbian these days, so I wanted to take this opportunity to go there and have a look."
Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture is located in the east of Jilin Province, bordering Russia and North Korea, and facing South Korea and Japan across the sea. The unique location conditions have created unique scenery, food, and cultural customs.

Before departure, Dai Huiyu read many travel guides about Yanbian from the Internet, and carefully planned the itinerary for several days with her friends, and decided to set the first stop in Hunchun, and then went to Yanji.
Along the way, she and her friends visited the Fangchuan Scenic Area where "the crowing of chickens is heard of the Three Kingdoms, and the barking of dogs startles the three borders", where she can enjoy the spring scenery of the Three Kingdoms; listening to her friends tell the story of the local wild Siberian tigers and leopards, she suddenly wanted to be with them. "Northeast Golden Gradation" came to a chance encounter; in Yanji Floating Market, looking for delicious food on the tip of the tongue, and in the evening, go to Yanbian University's "Internet celebrity pop-up curtain wall" to check in and take pictures...
Dai Huiyu experienced eating on the kang for the first time, and was amazed by the huge plate crab bibimbap and meat skewers; for the first time sitting on a dog-pulled sledge, she was amused by the humorous Northeast dialect of the dog-training uncle.
Dai Huiyu likes to travel. Since 2009, she has been to England, France, Japan and Singapore with her family.
Now, she is studying in Guangzhou and found that there are so many places worth visiting in mainland China.

In Inner Mongolia, she saw the vastness and boundlessness of the prairie; in Shanxi, she visited the Yungang Grottoes, a world cultural heritage, and the Hanging Temple, a thousand-year-old temple... Dai Huiyu's luggage is full of Changbai Mountain ginseng, rice chicken and pollack; her mobile phone album is full of photos and videos taken during the trip, and she repeatedly looks at them and recalls them on the way back.
She said that while she was young, she wanted to walk and see more, and hoped that one day she could travel all over the mountains and rivers of the motherland.
