On the 24th of this month, it will be a year since Russia launched a military invasion of Ukraine.

In Ukraine, high-ranking government officials have indicated one after another that the Russian military will launch a large-scale missile attack again in line with this, raising vigilance.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced on the 18th that the Russian military launched missile attacks on civilian infrastructure facilities in the western Khmelnitsky Oblast, where a nuclear power plant is located.

The American think tank "War Research Institute" shows the view that the Russian military may have aimed to stop the nuclear power plant.

In response to this, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on the 19th that it had attacked military facilities and ammunition depots near the provincial capital Khmelnytsky with sea-launched cruise missiles.

Under these circumstances, Ukraine's presidential adviser Podlyak told local media on the 18th that ``Russia will launch a similar missile attack from the 21st to the 24th of this month.''

This is because Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver his annual State of the Union address on the 21st of this month, and on the 24th, it will be a year since the Putin administration began its military invasion of Ukraine. It shows the view that it will launch a large-scale missile attack again.

In Ukraine, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Danilov, also said on the 16th that Russia was preparing a large-scale attack from the 23rd to the 24th of this month, raising vigilance.

On the other hand, regarding Putin's annual State of the Union address, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a state television program broadcast on the 19th, "People's lives now revolve around this military operation. We will pay a lot of attention to that," he said, suggesting that a lot of his time will be devoted to the invasion of Ukraine.

At least 7,199 citizens died Nearly 30% could not determine gender

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, at least 7,199 civilians have died in Ukraine since the start of the military offensive by 12th of this month.

Of these, 438 are children under the age of 18.

Of the 7,199 victims, 1,964, or nearly 30% (27%), said their bodies were so badly damaged that their gender could not be determined.

By region, a total of 4,189 people have been confirmed dead in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk provinces, where fierce fighting continues, and a total of 3,010 deaths have been confirmed in 20 provinces, including the capital Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson.

In addition, 11,756 people were injured.

Fierce battle, unable to grasp the exact damage

Most of the casualties were due to wide-area attacks, including artillery, missiles and airstrikes, he said.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, meanwhile, does not have an accurate picture of the damage in areas where heavy fighting has taken place or is still ongoing, such as Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast and Lyschansk and Severodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast. It is said that it has not been done, and it shows the view that the actual number of casualties greatly exceeds the number of people announced.

Similar points have been made by various countries, and the chairman of the United States military uniform group, Millie, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, pointed out in November last year that the number of civilian casualties in Ukraine is expected to reach 40,000.

Military casualties (estimated) 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers ~ 40,000 Russian soldiers

Soldiers and combatants casualties were high on both the Ukrainian and Russian sides.

An adviser to the Ukrainian president Podryak said last December that the government estimated the death toll among Ukrainian troops at between 10,000 and 13,000, with many more wounded.

On the other hand, since Russian Defense Minister Shoigu announced in September last year that the death toll of the Russian army was 5,937, there has been no announcement on the total number of deaths, and the exact situation is unknown.

However, the British Ministry of Defense, which analyzes the war situation in Ukraine, estimated on the 17th of this month that the total number of casualties of Russian soldiers and fighters of private military companies was between 175,000 and 200,000. I showed the view that I will be able to do it.

Of these, the number of deaths is estimated to be 40,000 to 60,000, and it is pointed out that the number has increased significantly since September last year.
