According to him, as TASS reports, when famous personalities, having made their well-being in Russia, including at the expense of their compatriots, leave the country, and then from abroad give impartial assessments of the Russian army, they cannot be called other than traitors.

In December, State Duma deputy Nikolai Brykin proposed that "defectors" and "traitors" be recognized as foreign agents.

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on discussions about how to treat "traitors who have defected to the enemy", stressed that everything should be done "only according to the law."

At the same time, he clarified that if the law does not achieve its goal, then it is necessary to act "according to the special rules of wartime."
