Today, Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of a Palestinian boy and the serious injury of two others, as Israeli occupation forces shot them during their raid into the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the child Qusai Radwan Waked (14 years old) died of severe wounds in the abdomen, as he was hit by live bullets fired by the occupation forces.

The ministry announced earlier today that 3 Palestinians were wounded by the occupation bullets during their raid on Jenin and its camp, and described the condition of two of them as serious.

The clashes took place between the Palestinians and the occupation soldiers, who infiltrated the Jabriyat area overlooking the Jenin camp, and arrested the liberated prisoner, Jibril Al-Zubaidi, the brother of the prisoner, Zakariya Al-Zubaidi, under the pretext that he was wanted.

For its part, the occupation said in a statement that its military operation in the Jenin camp targeted Jibril Al-Zubaidi, the brother of the member of the Revolutionary Council of the Palestinian Liberation Movement (Fatah), the captive Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, whom Israel accuses of planning to carry out attacks, and holds him responsible for holding the body of an Israeli who died in Jenin a while ago and was handed over. .

He added that the forces came under fire from Palestinian gunmen, and returned fire, "and we were informed that a number of gunmen were wounded during the exchange of fire."

This brings the number of Palestinian martyrs shot by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since the beginning of this year to 47, including 9 young men and an elderly woman, according to official Palestinian statistics, while 9 Israelis were killed.

The occupation has been targeting the city of Jenin and its camp since last year through repeated raids, justifying this with the presence of Palestinian gunmen planning to carry out operations against Israeli targets.

On the other hand, the occupation forces arrested 6 Palestinians, including a child, in separate areas of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the arrests were concentrated in Tulkarem, Qalqilya, Bethlehem and Hebron, where the occupation forces raided citizens' homes and destroyed their contents, and took the detainees to detention centers for interrogation on charges of resisting the occupation.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, hundreds of Palestinians mourned the funeral of Mithqal Suleiman Rayan (27 years), who was killed Saturday by an Israeli settler's bullets near the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan, south of Qalqilya in the West Bank.

About 475,000 Israeli settlers reside in random outposts not recognized by international law in the occupied West Bank, where more than 2.8 million Palestinians live.
