Liberal Democratic Party's Special Advisor to Prime Minister Nobuo Kishi submitted his resignation as a member of the House of Representatives to the House of Representatives on the 3rd, citing poor health.

LDP Special Advisor to Prime Minister Nobuo Kishi visited the official residence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives around 2:00 pm on the 3rd and submitted his resignation request to Speaker Hosoda.



Mr. Kishi was elected four times in the Yamaguchi 2nd District of the House of Representatives and is 63 years old.



He belongs to the Abe faction of the Liberal Democratic Party.



He is the younger brother of former Prime Minister Abe, who passed away last year, and his grandfather is former Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi.



Mr. Kishi served as Minister of Defense in the Kan and Kishida Cabinets, and was appointed as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister in charge of national security in the Cabinet reshuffle in August last year. I made it clear that I would not run for



Mr. Kishi's resignation is expected to be approved at the plenary session of the House of Representatives on the 7th. A by-election will be held.

Advisor to Prime Minister resigns
