Good evening,

the air is not as bad as one might think, an age researcher is critical of the Corona policy and there is something for the ears from Wehrheim.

Despite cars or with cars

: the air in Hesse has become cleaner.

According to the Hessian State Agency for Nature Conservation, Environment and Geology, the nitrogen dioxide concentration fell by around six percent on average in 2022 compared to the previous year.

In 2021, the limit value of 40 micrograms per cubic meter of air on an annual average for nitrogen dioxide was met for the first time at all Hessian measuring points.

Imminent driving bans, one of the reasons for restrictions that were and are imposed on car traffic in municipalities, have thus receded into the distant future for the time being.

The economy is now demanding an end to the restrictions.

And not only finds approval.

Falk Heunemann reports.

Looking back with anger:

Johannes Pantel studied medicine, philosophy and psychology in Münster, Heidelberg and London.

As a doctor, he worked in the university hospitals in Essen and Heidelberg.

Since 2011 he has held the chair for geriatric medicine at the University of Frankfurt with a focus on psychogeriatrics and clinical gerontology.

The corona virus arrived in Germany three years ago.

Nowhere were there so many victims to mourn as in old people's homes.

How this could have been prevented, what mistakes virologists and politicians made and what the current Health Minister Karl Lauterbach is to blame for: Pantel has a very clear opinion on this.

Sascha Zoske interviewed him.

In your ears:

that it's getting too loud for many people - a family business in Wehrheim will hardly complain about that.

50 employees, 15 million euros turnover per year;

the Ohropax GmbH grows.

It was founded in Berlin in 1907 and moved to Potsdam in 1924.

In Bad Homburg and thus in the Rhine-Main region, Ohropax has been based since 1950, at the current location since 1991. How many millions of wax ear beads are produced there every year, in addition to plugs made of foam and silicone and where this is a future market: Manfred Köhler reported.

And in addition

, unknown persons broke into a school in Roßdorf at the weekend and caused damage there amounting to several tens of thousands of euros

+++

on Monday night a driver drove into a gritter vehicle on Autobahn 5, the woman suffered serious injuries, the driver of the gritting vehicle suffered a shock

+++

the tax offices in Hesse needed an average of 50 days to process an income tax return in 2022 and, according to the Ministry of Finance, that was four fewer than in the previous year.

Kind regards from the editorial team,
