It was when nurses fled ward 62 at Mora hospital due to high workload and poor working environment that the Mora model came into being.

The chief physician Sascha Wagner went along as a nurse and based on his experiences and observations, the so-called Mora model was developed.

The lessons learned have led to new ways of working

Among other things, the new model has meant major changes in working methods for everyone, but mostly for the doctors themselves.

- Today, doctors come prepared in a completely different way, says Anna-Karin Fillman, head of the medical clinic.

Nurses returned to their jobs

One of the nurses who previously resigned because of the work environment, but now chose to return, is Elisabeth Nykvist.

- I felt that something was finally happening.

We have more team spirit.

It feels awfully good, she says.
