Some clearings and rain in the northwest, sunny weather around the Mediterranean and snow in the Pyrenees.

The weather this Thursday is not expected to see much change from the rest of the week.

A rainy episode will arrive from the northwest of the country, giving some showers and locally, snow.

Temperatures remain cold.

The weather will be marked Thursday by the passage of a disturbance on the northwest in the night from Wednesday to Thursday and Thursday morning, according to the forecasts of Météo-France.

It will give rain near the English Channel, but as it sinks inland, the precipitation will temporarily turn to light snow over the east of Hauts-de-France, the Paris basin to the Centre-Val de Loire and Poitou-Charentes.

This small snowy passage will be preceded by a few freezing drizzles over eastern Hauts-de-France and the Ardennes.

Snow on the edge of the Pyrenees

Gradually on Thursday, under a sensitive northerly wind, the sky will become more changeable, divided between clearings and cloudy periods, from the coasts of the Channel to the north of the Seine and to the north of the Pays de la Loire.

Rare showers will occur on the coastal departments.

From Ile-de-France to Poitou-Charentes, the atmosphere will slowly soften, the sky will remain heavy with scattered rains.

From the northeast to Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and the southwest, the morning will be gray and cold, a few snowflakes will fall, especially in the former Midi-Pyrénées region and around the Pyrenees.

A layer of fresh snow of a few centimeters will settle on the Montagne Noire and the Corbières.

Elsewhere, we will wait at most for a sprinkling.

Sun on the Mediterranean side

In the afternoon, little change on the sky side, a few snowflakes will still hover near the massifs.

Around the Mediterranean, the sun will prevail despite overflows in high clouds.

Mistral and tramontane will blow in gusts of 70 to locally 90 km/h in their areas.

Thursday morning, temperatures will be positive on the coasts, in Brittany and near the English Channel.

On the rest of the country, it will be between +1 and locally -3 degrees in the plain.

Stronger frosts will be expected near the massifs.

The maximum will reach 9 to 14 degrees in Languedoc, PACA and Corsica, 4 to 8 in Roussillon, Aquitaine, as well as Brittany and Pays de la Loire on the Belgian border.

It will be between 1 and 5 degrees over the rest of the country.
