A statement from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regarding the safety of workers due to "weather fluctuations"
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation called on private sector companies to take precautions and caution in external work, to ensure the safety of workers during their movement to and from work sites, and to ensure compliance with all security, occupational health and safety requirements during the prevailing weather fluctuations.
The Ministry renewed its call to companies and individuals to abide by the laws and regulations related to the occupational health and safety system in the UAE, and to pay attention to controlling risks and taking preventive measures to prevent accidents, occupational diseases and injuries or reduce them to a minimum, especially in light of rainy weather.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry indicated the importance of companies' keenness to provide a healthy and safe work environment and to enhance workers' awareness about safety requirements in emergency climatic conditions, stressing its commitment to coordination, communication and participation with all concerned parties, and its keenness to publish the necessary instructions, directives and guidelines to maintain the health and safety of all. Workers in the country according to the requirements of occupational health and safety specifications.
