In the war, Ukraine has a technological advantage over Russia.

Basically, Ukraine is prominent in IT, with many well-educated programmers and tech entrepreneurs.

But some computer systems have been more critical to success on the battlefield.

The American company Palantir has been singled out as particularly important in this context.

Palantir is known for supplying products to the US military, security services and law enforcement agencies.

Critics warn that their systems for data processing, often with artificial intelligence, can be used in ways that violate privacy.

When the Washington Post revealed that US authorities were using it to investigate illegal immigrants, some of the company's employees protested.

Used to Kill: "The Consequence in War"

Palantir's co-founder and CEO, Alex Karp, has recently been self-critical and stated in an interview with the site Axios that their products are sometimes used to kill people.

- Of course, that is the consequence of war.

But even in situations when it comes to hunting terrorists, Alex Karp believes that they have been useful to police authorities around the world.

In an exclusive interview with SVT during the World Economic Forum in Davos, he suggests that this would also be the case in Sweden.
