The proposal is based on the same model that applies to electricity support for households, which is planned to start being paid out in February.

The electricity subsidy to companies will only be paid out to those who have electricity outlets in electricity areas 3 and 4 and receive a ceiling of 2 million euros (just over 22 million kroner) in accordance with EU state aid rules.

- The compensation levels are based on how large the average price has been in the electricity areas in relation to a reference price of 75 öre kWh.

As the average price in electricity areas 1 and 2 has been lower than the reference price during the period, no electricity subsidy is given, says Malin Stridh, head of the Electricity Market, Swedish Power Network in the press release.
