Rosaviatsia: Syria has not yet answered the question about the safety of civil aviation flights

The agency recalled that the Syrian authorities need to obtain guarantees for the safe flight of Russian airlines over the territory of the republic.

Such appeals have already been sent to the aviation authorities of the SAR.

“Until now, a response from the Syrian side on the implementation of the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in terms of ensuring security measures taken in connection with military activities potentially dangerous for civil aircraft flights and the absence of risk factors for civil aircraft flights over conflict zones or near them, have not been reported, ”RIA Novosti quotes Rosaviatsia.

On December 27, the head of the Syrian civil aviation service, Basem Mansour, said that the government of the country had given permission for the passage of civilian Russian aircraft through its airspace.
