“The task of the joint Russian-Belarusian group of troops is, if necessary, to repulse a potential enemy in the event of an invasion of the territory of Belarus allied to us,” he told RIA Novosti.
The Deputy Minister recalled that the Military Doctrine of the Union State assumes that aggression against any participating state is considered as an encroachment on the Union State as a whole.
He also said that the Russian S-400 and Iskander systems transferred to Belarus would increase the effectiveness of joint air defense.
