According to investigators, at about 13:44 during repair work at a section of the gas pipeline located near the village of Yambakhtino, a gas leak and fire occurred.
On December 20, a fire broke out in Chuvashia as a result of a gas pipeline leak.
The breakthrough occurred during repair work on the section of the main underground gas pipeline Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod with a diameter of 1420 mm.
Three people died as a result of the fire.
