Normally, the ice rink in Tavelsjö is plowed with the help of four-wheelers and tractors.

Now the ice is too thin and the weekend's amount of snow is like a warming blanket which means that the cold does not reach down to the ice.

To reduce the snow cover, the association used a helicopter - but after a short test, they failed to get down to the ice.

- Unfortunately, there is too much snow on the ice for the helicopter to be able to push it away.

We never got down to the ice, even though the helicopter blew away huge amounts of snow, says Tobias Sundqvist, ice rink general.
