The versions of how it happened when the story time, which was planned as an activity for the children during the sports holiday, differ.

The head of administration, Jörgen Flink, maintains that he was instructed to cancel the story time by SD's Magnus Isgren, who at the turn of the year will take over as chairman of the culture and leisure committee.

But according to party colleague Mathias Andersson, that was not how it happened:

- We received a question: "Should we go ahead with this?".

No, we didn't think so with the facts we had at the time, says Mathias Andersson.

The Minister of Culture critical

On Tuesday, the Minister of Culture criticized the decision to stop the story time in the car library.

The opposition in Trelleborg is also very critical.

- Politics sets the goals.

It is therefore important that we stop being squeamish from politics and go into the business and say that we will do this or that, says Lennart Höckert (S), who also believes that SD does not have a mandate to make decisions on the matter.

- The person in question will take office as chairman of the cultural committee on the first of January and now we are in December.

Going into this stage is extremely inappropriate, says Lennart Höckert.

"Politically controlled organization"

Mathias Andersson is also asked if it was wrong to cancel the story time because it is not a decision from the Sweden Democrats.

- They received an answer to a question they asked, then they have chosen to act accordingly precisely because they are in a politically controlled organization, says Mathias Andersson.
