The Kurdish-led SDF forces guarding the camp say eight members of the security forces were killed in a Turkish attack last week.

- The number of murders has increased inside the camp and during raids both weapons and tunnels have been found, says Jihan Hanaa.

Denies responsibility

In recent weeks, Turkey has attacked hundreds of targets in northern Syria in what it says is a response to the recent deadly bombing in Istanbul.

The Kurdish regime in northern Syria, which holds thousands of IS members in camps and prisons, denies responsibility for the Istanbul attack and believes that the Turkish offensive puts the fight against the terrorist group IS at risk.

- We fear that the attacks will lead to the cells outside the camp being coordinated and that we will lose control over the camp, says Jihan Hanaa.

Recently, the Kurdish-led government in the area announced that it was suspending operations against the terrorist group IS, as a result of the airstrikes.
