A series of attacks on the towns of Chabahar and Rask, in southeastern Iran, left eight “terrorists” and five law enforcement officers dead. The border region with Pakistan regularly experiences attacks by the Sunni extremist group Jaish al-Adl.

Iran accuses Pakistan of not acting forcefully enough against the JaishAlAdl group which finds refuge in this country. According to Tehran, this group is supported by the American and Israeli intelligence services and carries out these actions to destabilize the country.
