"Serbia is in favor of a greater presence of Italy in the region and is ready for further development of relations between the two countries... Tajani's visit is a strong impetus for the development of bilateral relations," Dacic quoted the agency as saying.

Tajani also stressed the need to deepen the dialogue with the countries of the Western Balkans against the backdrop of the European integration of the region.

He noted that the parties discussed holding a business forum in Belgrade, within which Serbian and Italian companies could meet.

The Italian Foreign Minister also said that he appreciates the constructive attitude that Serbia showed in Brussels at the talks with Pristina. 

On November 20, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on TV Prva that he considered the right decision not to impose anti-Russian sanctions.
