According to the police, the alarm came at twenty past five in the afternoon after three cars with a total of four people in them collided.

- There were people still in the cars but not trapped, says Sebastian Börjesson, officer on duty at police region West.

Dark and poor visibility

According to SOS Alarm, one person had to be taken to hospital by ambulance, but it is unclear what injuries the person had.

According to the police, it was dark and there was poor visibility at the scene when the cars collided.

- It was enough that they had driven in from behind in a queue, says Patrik Hedlund, command operator at the Greater Gothenburg Rescue Service.

The road had to be closed completely but was able to reopen during the evening.
