Kit Digital is an aid program from the Government of Spain managed by Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence.

It is endowed with a budget of 3,067 million euros and financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan through

NextGenerationEU

funds , within the framework of the Digital Spain 2025 agenda and the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025.

Its objective is to promote the digital transformation of small businesses, micro-businesses and the self-employed, and it has the participation of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce as a collaborating entity.

Currently, small companies and self-employed workers with between zero and less than three employees can already request their digital voucher of 2,000 euros through the electronic headquarters of Red.es (https://sede.red.gob.es).

This third call for aid has an initial budget of 500 million euros, which may be expandable.

The deadline for submitting applications will be open until October 20, 2023.

With a wide catalogue, the companies and freelancers who are the object of this call can opt for 12 categories of digital solutions: website and basic presence on the Internet, management of social networks, electronic commerce, customer management;

virtual office services and tools, business intelligence and analytics, process management, electronic billing, secure communications, cybersecurity, advanced internet presence and

marketplace

.

AGILITY AND EASE IN THE PROCESS

Red.es has designed a paperless processing system

that

speeds up the process using robotization and artificial intelligence tools so that SMEs can request help, simplifying bureaucratic procedures as much as possible.

The applicant can authorize Red.es to consult ex officio the requirements and obligations required to obtain the status of beneficiary, safeguarding transparency and legal certainty.

In addition, to further facilitate access to the digital voucher, the figure of the "voluntary representative" has been enabled, so that any third party, whether a natural or legal person, and provided they are duly authorized, can request the subsidy on behalf of the business.

HOW TO REQUEST THE DIGITAL VOUCHER

The first step that the company or self-employed person must take is to register at www.acelerapyme.es.

Next, you must complete a self-diagnosis test to find out your degree of digital maturity.

After doing so, you can request your digital voucher at the electronic headquarters of Red.es (https://sede.red.gob.es)

.

Once it is verified that the applicant meets the requirements, the digital voucher is granted.

The beneficiary can consult at www.acelerapyme.es both the catalog of digitization solutions offered by the Kit Digital program, as well as that of digitization agents, currently made up of nearly 9,600.

One or several digitization agents must be selected with whom to develop the solutions that best suit the needs of your business, and sign the "digitization solution provision agreements".

3 CALLS AND 400 MILLION FROM THE RECOVERY PLAN FOR SMEs

At this time, around 400 million euros from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan have already reached Spanish SMEs.

The first call, for companies with between 10 and less than 50 employees, will be open until March 15, 2023. The amount of aid for this segment is 12,000 euros.

The second call, with aid of 6,000 euros for companies with between 3 and less than 10 employees, will be active until September 2, 2023. Less than a month after its opening, the first 3,000 bonuses had already been granted to companies of that segment.

100% of the companies in segments I and II that met the requirements are already receiving their digital voucher.

In addition, the resolution period for the files is between three and four weeks.

In seven months, Red.es has launched three calls for the Digital Kit program, which from now on will coexist in parallel, and which means that all companies with fewer than 50 employees and freelancers who meet the requirements can apply for aid.

Help, which has already been requested by more than 170,000 SMEs.
