Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that at least 11 people were injured in an explosion in the Taksim area in the center of Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday.
The reporter stated that the explosion, the cause of which was not immediately clear, took place in the famous tourist Istiklal Street in the Taksim area, and a loud sound was heard from it.
The reporter pointed out that the authorities immediately sent ambulance and firefighting teams, as well as experts in dismantling explosives.
