Two Palestinians were shot dead by the occupation forces in the West Bank, during clashes that erupted with a visit by extremist Knesset members to the so-called "Joseph's Tomb" near the city of Nablus.

And the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the young man, Raafat Ali Abdullah Issa, was shot dead by the occupation, west of Jenin.

The people of Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, also buried the body of the martyr Mahdi Hashash, who was shot dead by the Israeli army at dawn today, Wednesday.

Armed clashes and confrontations erupted against the background of information about the intention of members of the Knesset from the extremist parties to storm the "Joseph's Tomb" area east of Nablus, where Israeli military forces moved in and snipers deployed in the vicinity of the place.

Hashash was killed and 3 were shot, and 57 others suffocated due to tear gas canisters during clashes with the occupation that stormed the eastern neighborhood of Nablus at dawn today.

Palestinian platforms and activists, via communication platforms, also broadcast videos of confrontations and clashes between Palestinian youths and the occupation forces in the Nablus area last night.

The video footage shows the moment of clashes in different areas in Nablus, and the sounds of gunfire were heard after the occupation forces stormed the area at night.

It also shows the moment the occupation forces fired tear gas inside the city's neighborhoods.

The "Lions of the Lions" group announced on Telegram that the occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus and clashed with them.

The "Joseph's Tomb" is a destination for thousands of Israelis, where they perform Jewish religious rituals and prayers there, considering that it is the tomb of Prophet Joseph, the 11th son of Prophet Jacob (peace be upon them), but the Palestinians do not recognize this story.

sporadic arrests

On the other hand, the occupation forces arrested at least 12 Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem towns and villages last night and at dawn today.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that these arrests were concentrated in the villages and towns of Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus and Tulkarm, where military forces stormed these areas and raided a number of houses, and took the detainees to centers for interrogation on charges of resisting the occupation.

The number of Palestinians who were killed by the occupation bullets since the beginning of the year has risen to 194, including 143 in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and 51 in the Gaza Strip, according to the Ministry of Health.

Since the beginning of this year, separate areas in the West Bank have witnessed a noticeable escalation and an increase in the pace of Israeli forces' operations.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned what it described as the violations and crimes of the occupation forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, their land, property and sanctities.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the storming of the occupation forces last night into the city of Nablus, which led to the death of the young Hashash and the injury of others.

She pointed out that the occupying power is proceeding with the gradual and creeping annexation of the occupied West Bank, and the practice of the worst forms of oppression and discrimination against the Palestinians, in addition to undermining any opportunity to revive the peace process on the basis of the principle of the two-state solution and relevant United Nations resolutions.
