The weather on Thursday: very cool with sunshine or misty greyness

The sun will dominate Thursday over most of the country with the return of high pressure conditions, but the gray will be in the north, forecasts Météo France.

From Piedmont to the Pyrenees chain, from Languedoc-Roussillon to Auvergne, the PACA region, to the north of the Alps and the Jura massif, the sun will dominate from the early hours of the day even if pockets of grayness are present. and there.

These sunny conditions will spread northwards in the afternoon, the sky will be clear from the Gironde estuary to Sologne and Jura.

Only rare pockets of very local grayness will persist during the day, towards the Val de Saône in particular.

Low clouds and setting fog

Further north, the gray will dominate, low clouds and fog will often be present in the morning.

This moisture will dissipate slowly but the cloudiness may remain compact in frequent places.

In the evening, low clouds will approach the regions around the Gulf of Lion.

Minimum temperatures will be between 5 and 8 degrees in general, between 9 and 12 over the southeastern quarter of the country.

At the best of the afternoon, the thermometer will show 12 to 16 degrees over the northern half of the country, between 13 and 16 over the south, 19 to 21 over the Mediterranean arc.

In places where the grayness persists, the maximum may show a deficit of 1 to 3 degrees.
