A four-year-old girl died after falling from a small terrace of the house where she lived with her family, of Maghreb origins, in San Giovanni in Persiceto, in the Bolognese plain.

It happened around 19. The little girl fell from the second floor of a house in the Porta Garibaldi area, a flight over six meters high that left her no way out.

Her mother and a grandmother would have been in the house with her.

Rescued by 118, for the little girl there was nothing to do.

The carabinieri of the company of San Giovanni in Persiceto are conducting investigations on the incident which, at the moment, are inclined to a tragic domestic accident.

The mayor Lorenzo Pellegatti is also on site.

The prosecutor on duty of the Public Prosecutor of Bologna Francesca Rago was also informed of the fact, who presumably will open an investigation to assess any omissions or other.

The first surveys carried out and the first testimonies collected would have excluded a responsibility of other people.

From a first reconstruction, the little girl would have come out of the French window while she was at home with her mother and a grandmother.

She would have climbed over a small railing and reached the outdoor air conditioner unit, from which she then slipped and plummeted from the second floor.

Upon learning of the tragedy, relatives and acquaintances of the family reached the building where the accident occurred.

"A prayer for a little girl who fell into heaven" reads on a social group of residents in the country and there are many comments of condolence from citizens for a tragedy that has left everyone astonished.
