Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the White House was studying the possibility of introducing a complete ban on Russian aluminum.

According to Bush, this restriction will do more harm to Washington than to Moscow.

“Rather, the ban could provoke anti-dumping duties and retaliatory tariffs and exacerbate the rising inflation that Americans are facing today,” the observer explained.

Bush pointed out that such anti-Russian sanctions are unprofitable for the United States, since American industry consumes approximately 15% of Russian aluminum every year.

Earlier, the Czech representation in the EU announced that the European Union, as part of new sanctions against Russia, would introduce a ban on the import of steel and paper products, machinery, chemicals and plastic.
