Saturday weather: calm and still warm

The weather on Saturday will still be calm and temperatures will remain at a high level for the season, according to forecasts from Météo-France.

Low cloud cover will remain present from the shore of the Gulf of Lion to the south of the Massif Central even if the clouds will break up temporarily at midday.

The south of the Alps, the PACA region and Corsica will benefit from generous sunshine after the dissipation of the morning mists in the lower Rhône valley.

The sky will be overcast from the tip of Brittany towards the Cotentin, some scattered rain will be possible in the morning, it will become rarer in the afternoon with the return of some sunny spells at the very end of the day in the far west.

Beautiful sunny periods

Over the rest of the country, the high clouds will compose with beautiful sunny periods.

The Autan wind will remain strong in its area, reaching 60 to 70 km/h.

The west of the Pyrenees chain will be swept by the southerly wind reaching 60 to 70 km/h.

At daybreak, the thermometer will show 12 to 15 degrees in the interior of the country, from 14 to 18 on the Channel coasts, on the Atlantic coast, the Mediterranean coast.

At the hottest of the afternoon, the temperatures will be between 20 and 24 degrees north of the Loire, between 25 and 28 further south with always peaks up to 29 to 30 towards the Basque Country, Béarn.
