In Latvia, part of the “Mound of Friendship” was damaged by heavy equipment

This was stated by the Vice Speaker of the Pskov Regional Assembly Armen Mnatsakanyan, TASS reports.

According to him, the memorial plates at the site of the memorial, which is under the jurisdiction of the Latvian side, were damaged due to the impact of heavy equipment.

On the Mound of Friendship <…> memorial plates were torn out using heavy equipment,” Mnatsakanyan said.

He stated that in open sources there is no information from the official bodies of Latvia about “for what purpose completely incomprehensible manipulations with a part of the monument are carried out in such a barbaric way.”
