The Yemeni government welcomed the statement of the UN Security Council, which condemned the Houthi terrorist attack on the Dabba oil port in Hadramout Governorate, stressing the need to deter and punish the Houthis for their terrorist attacks.

On Wednesday, the UN Security Council strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist attacks by drones on the Dabba oil port in Hadramout, and considered them a serious threat to the peace process, stability of Yemen and maritime security, including navigational rights and freedoms stipulated in international law.



While the members of the Security Council reiterated their support for the United Nations Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg, in his efforts towards a negotiated and comprehensive Yemeni-led political settlement based on the agreed terms of reference, the Yemeni government called on the international community to classify the Houthi militias as a terrorist group.

For his part, the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, indicated that the issuance of a unanimous statement by the Security Council condemning the Houthi attack on the Hadhramaut port as a terrorist act, confirms the deep understanding of all countries that classifying the Houthi militia as a terrorist group has become a choice decided by its upcoming actions, which do not differ from my organization.
