“If the Republicans win the elections to both chambers, there is a high probability that one of the main channels of foreign military assistance will be blocked for Kyiv,” the senator said in his social networks, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

In his opinion, at the initiative of the Democrats, armed resistance from Ukraine is being dragged out, since "they are interested in it."

“Now, realizing that they are losing ground, they are trying to quickly pass a law on a new tranche of military assistance,” the parliamentarian said.

He added that if Ukraine is deprived of military assistance from outside, there will be a chance that the Kyiv authorities "sit down at the negotiating table."

As NBC previously reported, citing sources, the US Congress plans to approve the allocation of up to $50 billion to Kyiv by the end of 2022 in an expedited manner.

The Axios portal wrote that funding for Ukraine could be terminated if the Republican Party wins the elections to the US House of Representatives.
