The information about Bülent Kene's existence in Sweden must have been presented as a scoop, despite the fact that the address in Sweden is not hidden.

- They published it as if they revealed my home or hiding place, says Kenes.

- I'm not hiding in Sweden.

I am a public figure here and do several interviews.

My address is public.

Allegations of the 2016 coup attempt

On Wednesday, Expressen reported that the pro-government newspaper Daily Sabah had published pictures of, among other things, Kene's home and car.

He is one of about thirty people involved in Sweden's negotiations with Turkey, which could block Swedish NATO membership.

During Saturday, Ekot reported that Daily Sabah mapped several of the people Turkey wants to get hold of.

With names and pictures, the people are hung out and described as "fugitives who live in luxury".

Several are accused of involvement in the failed coup attempt in Turkey in 2016.

"Wouldn't be so stupid"

Bülent Kenes is one of those accused of having been involved in planning the coup attempt.

Kenes believes that it is not true, but that he only wrote critical articles about Turkish President Erdogan's restriction of democracy.

- If I were really involved in the coup, I wouldn't be so stupid as to expose it.

I'm not stupid.

I am not part of the coup, he says.

Creates anxiety

Turkey has requested that Bülent Kenes be extradited from Sweden and the Supreme Court has not yet heard his case.

For him, the hanging creates a concern about the future.

- I am worried that the negotiations between the newly formed Swedish government and the Islamofascist and despotic Erdogan regime will influence the decision on extradition, he says.
