The Abu Dhabi Social Support Program aims to provide support to Emirati families with low incomes in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, who carry a family book issued by them.

She pointed out that to ensure the provision of assistance to those facing emergency situations, whether financial or housing, through their access to the necessary support services, even if they do not meet the criteria applied by social institutions, especially since there is no provision in the policy that serves the category of cases that require temporary services, whether for the affected families From the “Covid-19” pandemic or social crises and challenges that may occur in the future and threaten the safety of individuals or families.

The department stated that to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the work based on the ability of individuals benefiting from the social support program, the social sector in Abu Dhabi has contributed to providing many support programs for individuals, including providing support to national families with low incomes in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and achieving a number of goals represented in achieving stability. The livelihood and financial independence of the citizen families benefiting from the support and meeting their basic needs, through financial support and empowering their able-bodied members to work, in order to provide them with a decent life.

The proportion of families benefiting from the program to the total families in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reached 4.7%.

The department, in cooperation with the Community Contributions Authority "Together", has also implemented a Ghaya program for financial culture, which aims to spread awareness about financial culture and its importance.
