The gas leaks discovered after the explosions

of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipeline lines

would be a total of four, according to the Swedish Coast Guard.

Two of these four are located in the Swedish economic zone.

At the same time, the seismologist Björn Lund - as reported by the Swedish newspapers - "

does not rule out that a third detonation may have occurred".

While the exchange of US-Russia accusations continues

, as reported by CNN, two European intelligence officials observed that "on Monday and Tuesday support ships of the Russian Navy were in the vicinity of the leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines".

It is not clear - writes the US broadcaster - whether the ships had anything to do with the explosions, the sources said, but "it is one of the many factors that investigators will examine".

Russian ships routinely operate in the area, according to a Danish military official, who stressed that "the presence of the ships does not necessarily indicate that Russia caused the damage".
