Russia has submitted a request to hold a meeting of the UN Security Council on an international investigation into sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. This was announced by the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the organization, Dmitry Polyansky.

Polyansky: After Denmark and Sweden stopped their investigations, “their futility and focus solely on gaining time and trying to get rid of the main and obvious suspect in this terrorist attack became even more clear.” Experts do not exclude that the meeting to investigate sabotage will have a significant diplomatic effect.
