The case dates back to May 22, 2022. At the very beginning of the evening, a hooded individual appeared on an electric scooter to fire a handgun at two individuals in the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille.
A 20-year-old man died on the public highway while a second individual aged 17 was injured in the leg.
The police have apparently solved the case.
The Marseille prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday that a man aged 29 at the time of the events had admitted in police custody on September 23 to be the author of this homicide motivated by "an altercation earlier in the evening", a explained the Marseille prosecutor's office.
This suspect was also already in pre-trial detention since September for acts of violence by persons holding public authority, said Dominique Laurens, the Marseille prosecutor, in a press release.
