A “Net Place” operation took place this Monday morning in the city of La Castellane in Marseille, a hot spot for drug trafficking. CRS trucks were deployed at each entrance and exit to the neighborhood where the deal points and lookout posts were hastily abandoned.
Dog teams are also on site and the cars marked by the dogs are then inspected by the police who also use rams to force certain doors. According to estimates, certain deal points have been able to bring in, in the past, up to 80,000 euros per day.
