Madrassa has created a group of unique cartoon characters, which accompany students in various stages of learning, and include characters inspired by real individuals, representing well-known figures in history, science, literature, culture and knowledge.

Various personalities have been employed in a way that enhances the learning process, provides educational and pedagogical experiences that benefit students, and bring them joy and fun while acquiring new information, by taking advantage of the multiplicity of audio-visual media employed by the platform in designing and presenting content for each age group and stage of study.

“Madrasa” uses characters inspired by Arab history, such as writers, poets, thinkers and scholars for each age group in a unique and attractive way, suitable for every age stage for learners, including the personalities of Al-Farahidi Language World, Ahmed Zaki Pasha, and Abu Al-Hol, which together offer grammar lessons. The Madrassa platform provides three features that make it one of the most prominent platforms for learning Arabic in an interactive way, namely availability, accessibility, and free use.

Changing the reality of education

The “Madrasa” platform is the fruit of the Translation Challenge initiative launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in 2017, which aims to change the reality of education in the Arab world and bridge the educational gap between the Arab and advanced worlds. The platform was launched, in its first phase, in September 2018;

It included 5,000 educational video lessons, and on December 18, 2020, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, the second phase of developing the content of the Madrassa platform was launched, and it included the development and production of qualitative educational content in the Arabic language, through 1,000 educational videos.
