Iraq.. The coordinating framework renews its adherence to its candidate Shiaa Al-Sudani to form the government

The Coordinating Framework Forces renewed, on Monday evening, their adherence to assigning Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to form the new Iraqi government.

In a press statement, at the conclusion of a meeting held today in the presence of its leaders, the Coordination Framework confirmed its adherence to its only candidate for prime minister, "Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, and he denied all other rumors."

In its meeting, the coordination framework discussed the preparations it is making with its allies in order to resume the work of Parliament and carry out its constitutional duties.

A delegation comprising Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad al-Halbousi, speaker of the Iraqi parliament, and Nechirvan Barzani, president of the Kurdistan region, is expected to enter into a round of negotiations with religious leader Muqtada al-Sadr to discuss the file of forming the new Iraqi government and addressing the political stalemate.

It is noteworthy that Al-Sadr's followers occupied the Iraqi parliament last month, rejecting Al-Sudani's nomination to lead a new government.

A new government was not formed in Iraq after the parliamentary elections that took place in the country on the tenth of last October due to differences between the prominent political blocs in the country.
