Yesterday, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center announced its support for the development of metavirs that will simulate the UAE's manned mission to Mars 2117, in partnership with Bedouin, the first pioneer in Dubai in the field of third-generation web technologies and solutions (Web3).

The Metaverse 2117 project, which was formally formulated through a memorandum of understanding, will witness close cooperation between the Center and "Bido", where "Bido" will share its experiences in developing Metaverse 2117 through a series of workshops and strategy development sessions, which will include virtual experiences that simulate the entry experience. Space first set foot on the Red Planet, in addition to raising awareness of the challenges surrounding exploration and settlement.

The director of the Mars 2117 program at the center, Adnan Al-Rais, said: “We set our eyes on the biggest challenges in the areas of exploration with humans and robots, as well as rely on creative ideas and thinking about the future to reach new milestones, and such ideas will be the focus of the center's support, because we believe that this will help us to expand our capabilities.

The center will work closely with Bedouin experts to guide and develop the project.

This will include advising, exchanging data and information on space and Mars, as well as setting up a steering committee to monitor progress under the partnership.

The two entities will also cooperate in thinking, creative development, and setting the appropriate vision for the Metaverse 2117 project.

Bedouin will provide the center with advisory services in areas such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the third generation of the web (Web3) and metaverse.

For his part, Amin Al Zarooni, CEO of Bedouin, said: “The UAE is famous all over the world for being a leading country, and at a time when the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center occupies a leading position in the race to transport the first humans to another world, we We congratulate the center on its recent successes and tremendous efforts to achieve its future plans.”
