These increases are those recorded by the Métropole de Toulouse for the year 2022. The community's energy bill has soared.
For the Pink City alone, its amount for electricity has increased from 12 to 17 million euros in one year.
"We are suffering this shock, but the grouping of orders with the other municipalities of the Metropolis plays a role of shock absorber", explains Jean-Luc Moudenc, its president.
In 2023, these increases should be more limited, of only 18% for electricity and 59% for gas forecast services.
Additional expenses which will not be borne by the inhabitants, "but by taking on us through management choices", explained the city councilor.
To achieve this, he announced during his political comeback on Thursday that an energy saving plan for this winter would be presented next month.
