President Biden visited the auto show held in Detroit, the center of the American automobile industry.



In a speech to the National Automobile Union and others, President Biden emphasized the development of the electric vehicle industry, but again, the key point was 'Made in America', production in the United States.

He then emphasized that the semiconductors were developed in the United States and will allow the United States to take the lead again.

New investment plans were announced at a meeting on biotechnology of each ministry hosted by the White House.



It is a follow-up to an executive order signed by President Biden to increase U.S. production in the field of biotechnology.



We plan to invest a total of $2 billion, or more than KRW 2.7 trillion, of our own money, including $1 billion over five years to build a bio-production base in the United States, and $40 million to produce raw materials for anti-epidemic drugs and antibiotics.



As the midterm elections in November approach, the trend of nurturing local industries conscious of votes is becoming more evident.
