At 20.40 both the website and the app should have worked again.
"What happened was that a network component stopped working, which affected the connection with our web and our app, all FM broadcasts continued undisturbed and also other important functions such as VMA or traffic announcements were affected but not working during the entire time," writes SR's press manager Claes Bertilson in an email to SVT.
"It took time to identify it and then an extensive restart was required, which is the reason why our web and app was down for as long as it did, which we think is really unfortunate as our listeners were affected.
There are no signs of any external influence and we will continue to investigate over the next few days exactly what caused the error," he also writes.
